ALIREZA CHOOBINEH is a professor of Occupational Health & Safety Engineering and Ergonomics in the School of Health at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS), Shiraz/Iran. He completed his PhD, MSc and undergraduate studies at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. His major research interests lie in the area of occupational ergonomics. He has published over 130 peer reviewed papers in leading Occupational Health and Ergonomics journals. He has supervised 69 and 21 MSc and PhD dissertations, respectively, and 1 post-doctoral research. Publishing 9 applied reference books in Persian, multiple registered inventions, completion of over 50 applied research projects in Occupational Health and Ergonomics domains, conducting over 20 University-Industry Collaboration (UIC) projects in different industries, membership of the editorial boards of some national and international prestigious journals are some of his other academic achievements. He was the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award for Academic Research of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (England) in 2022 for significant contributions to the research of ergonomics and human factors. He was awarded several national scientific titles and received 3 prestigious prizes from the presidents of Iran.
